Ich begrüße Sie sehr herzlich in der Verbandsgemeinde Kusel-Altenglan Mit der vorliegenden Broschüre möchte ich Ihnen einen Überblick über unsere im Pfälzer Bergland in der Mitte des Landkreises Kusel gelegene Verbandsgemeinde geben. Im Zuge der Kommunal- und Verwaltungsreform im Jahre 2018 aus 33 Ortsgemeinden und der Stadt Kusel neu gebildet, liegen wir im Westen der sonnigen Pfalz in einer weitgehend noch unberührten Landschaft. Das reizvolle Westricher Berg- und Hügelland vereinigt eindrucksvoll eine ursprüngliche Naturlandschaft mit einer alten Kulturlandschaft – dem Remigiusland – im Wechsel von Feld, Wald, Berg und Tal. Die folgenden Seiten zeigen Ihnen die Vorzüge unserer Region, wie gut es sich hier leben lässt, Wohnen und Arbeit miteinander verbunden werden können, die touristischen Möglichkeiten aber auch das wirtschaftliche Leistungsvermögen und die Entwicklungsmöglichkeiten in und um die zentralen Orte, der Kreisstadt Kusel und der Gemeinde Altenglan. Newly formed from 33 local communities and the town of Kusel in the course of the district and administrative reform in 2018, we are located in the west of the sunny Palatinate in a largely unspoiled landscape.
